Joost G. H. Vermeulen (M.Sc.)

Joost studied at the Agricultural University of Wageningen (Wageningen UR) from 1976 to 1984, where he graduated as agricultural engineer in plant breeding and tropical crop science, with a minor in irrigation.

From 1987 to 1994 Joost worked as a potato breeder at Cebeco Seeds BC. In 1995 he followed his heart and, together with his wife Anneke, worked in Africa until 2003 to serve the poor in Burundi and Mozambique with Dorcas Aid International.

From 2003 to 2012 Joost worked as a volunteer desk-officer for AGRINAS, where he served the teams in Bosnia and Kazakhstan, leading them to independence.

In 2008 Joost founded JV-Consultancies (JVC). Joost is sole proprietor and active as senior value chain consultant.

Joost has a heart to serve the poor by equipping them, using his many years of experience in international development cooperation.
